In the latest business of sports market update, we look at Maple Leaf Foods‘ Schneiders partnership with the Rogers-owned Toronto Blue Jays and their loonie dog craze, soccer headlines including Canadian defender Moise Bombito’s rapid ascent to French Ligue 1’s OGC Nice, Cristiano Ronaldo’s YouTube record and the Ottawa Rapid FC of the Northern Super League.

As well, year-to-date Electronic Arts shares are up around 8 per cent. YouTube parent company Alphabet Inc. (NDAQ:GOOG) closed Friday at US$167.43, up 18.56 per cent so far this year.

Electronic Arts Inc. (NDAQ:EA) closed Friday at US$147.62 per share. In one year, its shares have climbed 23.34 per cent.
