BANGKOK, THAILAND -- (Marketwire) -- 12/20/12 -- World Moto, Inc. (OTCBB: FARE) (OTCQB: FARE) (Berlin: WM7) (Berlin: A1J8SY) ("World Moto" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that several prominent Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) around the globe have recommended use of Moto-Meters. Changing the way the world goes around, World Moto is a global authority on the $500 billion dollar a year motorcycle taxi industry and inventor of the Moto-Meter, the world's first motorcycle taxi meter.

The Company earned the recommendations of several prominent NGOs after revealing the potential of its revolutionary technology. Among the social impact that can be generated by use of the Company's products are:

  • Payment for Waiting Time - reduced incentive to bypass traffic controls
  • Black box recorders - improves driving behavior of operator
  • Violent Disagreement - reduces animosity through standardized fares
  • Rape and Assault - tracking and registration deter crimes of opportunity
  • Extortion - verifiable data reduces chances for coercion and corruption
  • Bias - standardized fares improve efficiency and equality of transport
  • Disabled/Transit Captives - those without transit alternatives are often exploited
  • Fare Management - regulated fares are more advantageous for communities as a whole
  • Mass Transit Feeder - stress free motorcycle taxis encourage more use of mass transit, reducing pollution
  • Home Delivery - home delivery services are more energy efficient than individual trips to the market

Upon learning of the Moto-Meter, Mirjam Sidik, Executive Director of the Asia Injury Prevention Foundation (AIPF), stated, "Congratulations on this great product. A better safety culture would make [motorcycle taxis] outstanding and passengers would prefer to choose those motorcycle taxis with a Moto-Meter."

Disabled passengers have also expressed their support for the Moto-Meter. During the 2012 International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, the UN stated that "Persons with disabilities are the world's largest minority. Over one billion people, or approximately 15 percent of the world's population, live with some form of disability." They went on to state that the disabled faced a variety of barriers to participation in society, not the least of which was not having equal access to transportation. The Company notes that Moto-Meters remove many barriers that the disabled and hearing impaired face when trying to haggle fares on motorcycle taxis.

Among organizations that have endorsed the Moto-Meter or are in discussions with World Moto regarding support are:

Asia Injury Prevention Foundation
Disability Rights Association of Goa
World Federation of the Deaf
European Disability Forum
Asia Impact Investment Exchange
Asia Pacific Development Center on Disability
Discovering Deaf Worlds

The Company believes that continuing support from these influential advocacy groups will increase demand for the Moto-Meter and accelerate the rate at which World Moto's products are absorbed by the global market.

World Moto CEO Paul Giles commented, "We are very proud to receive the support of such an esteemed group of organizations. World Moto shares the same vision in promoting professional competence within the sector to improve the quality of services it offers."
