Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange

TORONTO, Feb. 7, 2013 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for January 2013.

Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed 5 new issuers in January 2013, compared to 14 new listings in December 2012 and 8 in January 2012.  The new listings include 2 exchange traded funds.  Total financings raised was down 85% from the previous month and down 82% from the same month last year.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed 8 new issuers in January 2013, compared to 13 the previous month and 12 in January 2012.  The new listings include 3 from the mining sector and 2 from the Capital Pool Company Program.  Total financings raised was down 71% from December 2012 and down 51% from January 2012.
