that its wholly-owned subsidiary HRT O&G Exploração e Produção de
Petróleo Ltda ("HRT O&G") spudded, on March 17, 2013, the well
1-HRT-11-AM, on the Cajazeira prospect, at SOL-T-172 Block, in the
Solimões Basin, Municipality of Coari, State of Amazonas.
The well 1-HRT-11-AM is located at approximately 60 km to the northeast
of the Leste do Urucu Field and aims to test an elongated NE-SW domic
structure, with 17 km2 area, similar to the Juruá/Tefé and Urucu trends.
The main target of this well is to identify the presence of hydrocarbons
in Carboniferous reservoirs of the Juruá Formation, expected at 2,035
meters depth. The secondary target is to identify the Devonian
reservoirs of the Uerê Formation expected at 2,080 meters depth, with
hydrocarbon accumulations. This well is being drilled by the QG-VIII
and has its proposed total depth at 2,175 meters.
HRT is the operator of 21 blocks in the Solimões Basin, which it is
exploring in partnership with TNK-Brasil.
