Yamana Gold, Endeavour Silver, Coeur d'Alene Mines, Compania de Minas Buenaventura, and Allied Nevada Gold Early Briefing and Review

LONDON, March 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday released its latest monetary policy statement. In the statement, the Feds once again reiterated that they will continue with their bond buying program until there is a sustained recovery in the labor market. In recent weeks, robust economic data in the U.S. had fueled speculation that the Feds will end its bond buying program sooner-than-anticipated. The speculation strengthened the U.S. dollar, and put pressure on gold and silver prices. Gold prices have benefited in the last few years from the Fed's ultra-loose monetary policy. Therefore an early end to the central bank's bond buying program does not augur well for the precious metal. Gold and silver prices have performed poorly so far this year, and as a result gold and silver mining stocks such as Yamana Gold Inc. (NYSE: AUY), Endeavour Silver Corp. (NYSE: EXK), Coeur d'Alene Mines Corporation (NYSE: CDE), Companhia de Minas Buenaventura SA (NYSE: BVN), and Allied Nevada Gold Corp. (AMEX: ANV) have also struggled this year. On Wednesday, gold and silver stocks ended on a mixed note even as the broad market edged higher. StockCall has released free charting and technical research on these aforementioned companies.
