Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services, Inc. (AMES), announced
that it has entered into a heavy maintenance agreement with North
American Airlines, Inc. (NAA) for light and heavy maintenance services.
AMES completed the first in a series of planned A checks on NAA's Boeing
767-300ER passenger jets in January and has recently completed the first
C check for NAA as well. A second C check is scheduled for September
2013. NAA operates a fleet of five Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.
“North American Airlines has been impressed with AMES ability to provide
strong technical support and capability on the B767-300,” commented NAA
Senior Director of Maintenance and Engineering Richard Sosa. “AMES has
displayed a flexibility allowing for the successful accomplishment of
additional maintenance requirements outside of the scheduled workscope
without impacting or compromising the operational schedule. This is key
to our operation and selection of a maintenance provider.”
“We are pleased that North American Airlines recognizes the quality and
value of our heavy maintenance services,” said AMES President Brady
Templeton. In addition to providing heavy maintenance on Boeing 767
aircraft, AMES's expertise extends to the Boeing 737 and 757, as well as
the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 and DC-9 models.
