Endeca software which allowed users to analyze unstructured data, now also allows them to analyze their own
Microsoft Excel files. Endeca also lets users to import data from social media sites such as Twitter, for sentiment analysis. A new driver allows Endeca users to extract data from Oracle Business Intelligence Server, a component of the Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite.

The new Endeca software also has a new user interface. The Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation Suite version
11.1.1.7 allows it to work with a larger number of data sources.

The new version of the suite comes with Performance Tiles and Waterfall Graphs. Further, the mobile
application that runs with the suite now comes with features like a security toolkit, the ability to support gestures and greater content viewing capabilities.

A Facebook spokesperson told had this to say to a UK newspaper: “It is being tested among a very small percentage of users. There is no set timescale. It depends on what happens and what feedback we get as to whether it is rolled out nationally. We are testing a number of price points in the U.K. and other countries to establish the optimal fee that signals importance. This is still a test, and these prices are not set in stone.”
