FSI Announces the Results of the Watersavr Trial Completed by the South Nevada Water Authority
Victoria, British Columbia CANADA, April 16, 2013 /FSC/ - Flexible Solutions International Inc. (FSI - AMEX, FXT - FWB),is the developer and manufacturer of biodegradable polymers for oil extraction, detergent ingredients and water treatment as well as crop nutrient availability chemistry. Flexible Solutions also manufactures biodegradable and environmentally safe water and energy conservation technologies. Today the Company announces results of a Watersavr trial conducted by the Southern Nevada Water Authority [SNWA] on Lake Sahara, Las Vegas.
Highlights of the trial include:
* Evaporation reduction averaging 31 % was documented by SNWA researchers.
* Flexible Solutions conducted a concurrent trial at Lake Sahara that showed evaporation reduction of 29%.
* The SNWA trial was four months long and included more than 1500 readings of water quality in the categories of dissolved oxygen, pH, calcium and suspended solids. There was no water quality difference compared to 10 years of historic data.
* The Nevada Department of Wildlife agreed to allow the trial on Lake Sahara which has an endangered species, the razorback sucker, in its waters. The fact that Watersavr has National Sanitation Foundation schedule 60 approval [NSF] for direct use in drinking water was helpful in convincing the Department of Wildlife to approve the trial.
* After completing the trial, SNWA briefed the Sahara Lake Association on the safety, efficacy and water quality aspects of using Watersavr.
* The Lakes Association assessed their internal economic effect, which was very positive, and has voted to purchase Watersavr and automatic dispensing equipment starting this season.

The SNWA's 31% water conservation results closely match the data reported by previous government trials of WaterSavr such as the country of Singapore [31%], the municipality of Coliban, Australia [37%], the Owens Lake Authority of California [30%] and the country of Turkey [33%]."
CEO O'Brien continues, "Watersavr is able to safely reduce evaporative losses from reservoirs at one quarter the cost of desalination for coastal communities.
