EPM Mining Ventures Inc. announces favorable decision in IBLA appeal
TORONTO, April 22, 2013 /CNW/ - EPM Mining Ventures Inc. ("EPM" or the
"Company") (TSXV: EPK - OTCQX: EPKMF) announced today that it has
obtained a favorable decision from the Interior Board of Land Appeals
("IBLA") affirming the Bureau of Land Management's ("BLM") Decision
Record and Finding of No Significant Impact on the Sevier Playa Potash
Exploratory Testing Proposal and Environmental Assessment and denying
the appeal by Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance ("SUWA") of said
Decision Record and Finding of No Significant Impact. This concludes
the final appeal by SUWA to the BLM's decisions regarding leasing and
exploration.
Lance D'Ambrosio, Chief Executive Officer of EPM, said; "We are
extremely happy with this ruling. Once again, we believe the IBLA did
an excellent job of analyzing the issues and basing its decision on
firm precedent. As we have said in the past, the appeals by SUWA were
baseless and without merit and this decision, along with the previous
ones, confirms that."
This action by the IBLA favorably resolves all outstanding environmental
appeals and petitions.
