Air Canada Supports Keeping the International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO) Headquarters in Montreal

MONTREAL, April 29, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada announced today that it supports the efforts made by municipal, provincial and federal governments to convince representatives of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to keep its headquarters in Montreal, a city with an international reputation for its expertise in civil aviation, whether in air travel, aeronautics, international organizations or various specialized training programs offered by Montreal universities.

"As President of Air Canada, a company that is proud to have its headquarters in Montreal where we have more than 5,000 employees, I invite all business leaders in Montreal to take action to ensure that ICAO's headquarters remain in this city," said Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer for Air Canada.

A specialized agency of the United Nations, ICAO was created in 1944 to promote the safe and orderly development of international civil aviation throughout the world. For more information, visit www.icao.int.
