Accenture to Provide Finance & Accounting, Customer Care and Procurement Business Process Outsourcing Services to Major Swedish Steel Manufacturer
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has signed a seven-year business process
outsourcing agreement to provide SSAB, a major Swedish steel
manufacturer, with finance & accounting, customer care and procurement
services.
Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will help SSAB transform
these functions across selected operations in Europe and improve the
company’s flexibility in order to more quickly adapt to changing market
demands. At the same time, SSAB will benefit from a more cost-effective
service delivery model.
Specifically, Accenture will be responsible for designing, building and
operating SSAB’s accounts payable, accounts receivable, select customer
care activities, operational procurement and sourcing and category
management for selected categories. The services will be delivered
through Accenture’s
Global Delivery Network.
In addition, SSAB will have access to Accenture’s industry processes,
industry knowledge and business process outsourcing (BPO) analytics
across SSAB’s business support functions to drive end-to-end process
development.
“We look forward to supporting SSAB in creating world-class business
support services that leverages analytics to deliver key insights to
improve business performance,” said Rikard Schröder, a managing director
and Accenture Resources lead in Sweden. “We will provide a team and a
