KBR Wins Police Facilities Management Integrator Services Contract

KBR (NYSE:KBR) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the London Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime to provide facilities management integrator services to the Metropolitan Police Service.

The contract, awarded after a competitive process, includes procuring, managing and auditing the facilities management supply chain on behalf of the Metropolitan Police Service. KBR will also design and manage a building management system to reduce overall maintenance costs to the metropolitan police and establish and manage a facilities management call centre.

The Metropolitan Police Service is Britain’s biggest police force with an estate covering more than 10 million square feet (970,000 sq m).

“KBR is delighted to have the opportunity to support the Metropolitan Police Service,” said Andrew Pringle, President, International, Government, Defence and Support Services, KBR. “We will help them ensure their estate is an asset that meets operational needs. Improving the workplace and giving officers and staff the facilities they deserve will make for a happier workforce, better able to focus on the frontline and keeping Londoners safe.”

KBR has more than 25 years of experience delivering effective and efficient services to the U.K. public sector, where it has won more than 350 major contracts across 29 central and local government departments. With a 3,400-strong workforce in the U.K., KBR supports the military, police and transport networks and departments of state such as the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Home Office.

KBR is a global engineering, construction and services company supporting the energy, hydrocarbon, power, industrial, civil infrastructure, minerals, government services and commercial markets. For more information, visit www.kbr.com.
