Company's support helps fund bullying prevention, family support, and education programs

BOSTON, May 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, is presenting sponsor of Step UP! Pride and Passion 2013, Greater Boston PFLAG's annual fundraiser This is BNY Mellon's second year as a presenting sponsor of the event, which is being held on Thursday, May 16 at the Party in the Park Tent in the Back Bay Fens.  The company's $35,000 contribution helps fund Greater Boston PFLAG's bullying prevention, family support and education programs.  

Greater Boston PFLAG is a local affiliate of PFLAG, a national non-profit organization that has more than 200,000 members and supporters and over 350 affiliates in the United States.  Made up of parents, families, friends, and straight allies uniting with lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, PFLAG is committed to advancing equality through its mission of support, education and advocacy.
