StockCall.com Provides Stock Research on Lockheed Martin Corp., General Dynamics Corp., TASER Intl. Inc., Textron Inc., and AerCap Holdings N.V.

New York City, New York -- (May 17, 2013)

The failure of U.S. lawmakers to reach an agreement on reducing the country’s massive fiscal deficit resulted in the Sequester, or automatic spending cuts, worth $85 billion. This took effect on March 1st, 2013. Nearly half of the automatic spending cuts will be made in defense. This will have a significant impact on the aerospace & defense industry as the U.S. military is its biggest customer. Governments in several other developed world countries are scaling back defense spending to balance their budgets. Aerospace & defense stocks ended mostly lower on Thursday, tracking losses in the broad market, which slipped following the release of some disappointing economic data. Among the major movers were Lockheed Martin Corporation (NYSE: LMT), General Dynamics Corporation (NYSE: GD), TASER International Inc. (NASDAQ: TASR), Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT), and AerCap Holdings N.V. (NYSE: AER).
