Consumers Energy Awards $4.3 Million To Help Michigan Businesses And Schools Save Energy And Money

JACKSON, Mich., May 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers Energy awarded $4.3 million in incentives through its Business Solutions program to fund 835 projects in the first quarter of 2013 to help Michigan businesses and schools become more energy efficient.

These incentivized projects are saving participating customers an estimated $5.15 million in annual energy costs.  They're also are saving enough energy to serve about 3,700 residential electric customers and about 2,700 residential natural gas customers.

Business Solutions is one part of the company's comprehensive energy efficiency program, launched in accordance with Michigan's energy reform law.
