Lang was appointed president and chief executive officer of the Company and elected to the board of directors, concluding the transition that was announced on February 27, 2013. Mr. Lang previously served as president and chief operating officer of Vocera and succeeds Robert J. Zollars, who was appointed to the role of executive chairman of the board and will remain an employee of the company.

The effective date of Mr. Lang's role as president and CEO and Mr. Zollars' role as executive chairman was June 1, 2013. Prior to assuming his new role as president and CEO, Mr. Lang served as Vocera's president and chief operating officer from October 2007 to May 2013. Mr. Lang began his tenure at Vocera in June 2001 as the Company's vice president of marketing and business development.
