MONTREAL, June 4, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The InterContinental Montreal is proud to announce the completion of a $3 million renovation to 13 of their spacious meeting rooms. The property's conference center, which is located in the historic part of the neo-Victorian Nordheimer building, now features updated décor and enhancements to the technology in the meeting rooms to further provide an effective solution for both meetings and events.

The new meeting facilities at the InterContinental Montreal are appointed with the audiovisual equipment to ensure the success of any meeting or event. Far from the cold and soulless conference centers, guests can now enjoy full autonomy by being masters of their time, budget and environment. Elegant service stations, designed to receive 6 luxury WMF (German manufacturing) coffee machines, are located in the foyer of each floor to provide guests with convenient access to coffee and refreshments at any time. Permanent induction hobs, produced by Voolrath, are also designed to accommodate the hot buffets and offer the highest quality of food. In addition, each room is equipped with a touchscreen that allows guests to control the ventilation, background sound, brightness and temperature. Meeting and event planners will also benefit from an all-inclusive food and beverage offer designed by our Executive Chef Matthieu Saunier, in collaboration with today's best experts in hospitality. A large library and crystal chandelier hanging in the luxurious verriere of the 3rd floor, both are two new additions incorporated into the meeting facility to enhance and complement the beautiful décor, and architecture of the historical Nordheimer building, which boasts magnificent woodwork, large windows and underground stone vaults that date back to the 18th century. Guest will find the new soft carpeting, light colored wallpaper, new fixtures and contemporary furniture a perfect harmony between a rich historical heritage and the freshness of a contemporary design.

"The renovation of our meeting space provides an opportunity to revisit the hotel's offer and enhance the comfort and well-being of our guests," said Bernard Chêvevert , InterContinental Montreal general manager and winner of the InterContinental Hotels Group "Best of the Best" in the category of Best General Manager for 2011. "By following the innovative spirit of the InterContinental brand, we wish to give our guests the possibility to book their events in a place where the atmosphere and type of expected services are reminiscent of a private club, all without membership fees."

The InterContinental Montreal, located at 360 Saint-Antoine West Street, features 357 luxury guest rooms, including 23 suites and is conveniently connected to the Palais des Congrès (Convention Center), two subway stations and the underground city. The hotel is located at a gateway of downtown and steps away from the entertainment district, close to shops, restaurants and cultural activities. Guests can count on hospitality, attentive service quality, recognition, access to a wide range of privileges and comfort promoting exchanges, in an unforgettable setting.
