WINDSOR, ON, June 4, 2013 /CNW/ - Scotiabank today announced the Bank has become a Gold Level Sponsor of the 2013 Windsor-Essex International Children's Games.

The International Children's Games (ICG) - recognized by the International Olympic Committee - features 12-to-15-year-old children from round the world participating in a variety of sports.

The annual event was founded in 1968 by Slovenian sports instructor Metod Klemenc to promote peace and friendship through sports. The International Children's Games and Cultural Festival has become the world's largest international multi-sport youth games. Nearly 40,000 children have competed at 43 summer games and 4 winter games in 411 cities and 86 countries.
