Birchcliff Energy Ltd. Announces Quarterly Preferred Share Dividend

Birchcliff Energy Ltd. ("Birchcliff") (TSX:BIR) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.50 per share for the calendar quarter ending on June 30, 2013, on Birchcliff's outstanding Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Shares, Series A. The dividend is payable on July 2, 2013 to shareholders of record as at the close of business on June 21, 2013. The dividend is designated as an eligible dividend for purposes of the Income Tax Act (Canada).

Birchcliff is a Calgary, Alberta based intermediate oil and gas company with operations concentrated within its one core area, the Peace River Arch of Alberta.
