MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - June 10, 2013) - Quebecor (TSX:QBR.A)(TSX:QBR.B) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Aldo Giampaolo to the position of President and CEO of Quebecor Media Entertainment & Sports Group. Mr. Giampaolo will bring more than 25 years of experience in managing, promoting and producing major local, national and international events, including the management of arenas and major venues for sporting and cultural events, to Quebecor when he joins the Corporation on July 8, 2013.

Aldo Giampaolo's biography

Aldo Giampaolo has an impressive track record in show business with 25 years of experience in event production and promotion and in the management of multipurpose venues. He was Vice President Operations of the Montréal Forum from 1986 to 1996, during which period he also served as Executive Project Director of the new Bell Centre for two years. He subsequently became Executive Vice President and General Manager, occupying that position from 1995 to 2001. He then founded Gillett Entertainment Group (which became EVENKO in 2010) and was its President from 2001 to 2004. In 2006, Aldo Giampaolo joined the Cirque du Soleil and served in a number of senior positions related to world tours, including Executive Producer, Arena Tours Division, and Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Touring Shows.
