LOS CABOS TOURISM BOARD, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HAVAIANAS, COMING TO THE GROVE LOS ANGELES FOR FIRST ANNUAL #FlipForCabo DAY ON JUNE 26

LOS CABOS, Mexico, June 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Los Cabos Tourism Board announced today plans to bring the experience of vacationing in the popular Mexican resort destination to The Grove Los Angeles through a major consumer event -- #FlipForCabo -- on June 26 from 11am to 7pm.

Branded #FlipForCabo through a partnership with popular luxury flip-flop brand, Havaianas, the event will aim to drive consumer traffic to The Grove's central park area with live entertainment, cooking demos, trip giveaways and a series of authentic Cabo experiences. Havaianas will be on-site with its signature Make Your Own flip flop cart, and stations including "Flip for Spa", "Flip for Golf", "Flip for Family", "Flip for Fun", "Flip for Food" will enable consumers to experience, hands-on, a different aspect of vacationing in Los Cabos. The Mexico Tourism Board along with twelve of the destination's top hoteliers will be on-site to provide attendees with information on their respective properties, mariachi and folkloric dancers will perform live, and a cooking demo with passed appetizers from Chef Tadd Chapman of Cabo's renowned Tadd Chapman Restaurants will give event-goers a true "taste" of the destination.

Additionally, thanks to a partnership with Alaska Airlines, consumers will have the opportunity to enter to win one of four 5-day / 4-night trip giveaways for two to Los Cabos during the event by signing up for more information via iPad kiosks in the center of the park area. In addition to airfare via Alaska Airlines, hotel giveaways will include stays from Esperanza, an Auberge Resort, Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa, Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa and Hotel El Ganzo, the destination's newest boutique property.

Additionally, through a partnership with Havaianas, consumers will have the opportunity to win a free pair of the popular footwear through photo sharing on Instagram and Twitter leading up to and during the event.
