CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - June 12, 2013) - Maple Leaf Green World Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MGW) (the "Company" or "Maple Leaf") announces that further to its April 25th news release, China Light Enrich Ltd. ("China Light") commenced its pig raising technology test on April 30th at the pig farm located at Heyuan, Guangdong. China Light has reported the 1st progress report on the test as at May 31, 2013.

The report from China Light stated the following:

  1. The control group is more active and healthier than the regular group.
  2. The control group's body size and frame is bigger than the regular group.
  3. The control group's shoulders are forming a hump shape showing that the muscle is building up, rather than just fat.
  4. The control group's skin and complexion are showing more pink and are shinier.
  5. The control group's manure is not discharging offending smells, illustrating the improvement of their digestive system, which is expected to become even more profound in the coming months.
  6. The weigh in will be finished in the next few days, but China Light does not expect too much of a difference between the control group and the regular group at this stage of the test.

China Light has also provided a set of photos of the control group and the regular group; which, together with the progress report will be posted on Maple Leaf's website shortly.

China Light has also reported that the surveillance camera is still experiencing technical difficulties with transmitting the high definition video overseas, as such, they will be re-wiring the whole system again in order to attempt to overcome the transmission problem and will advise Maple Leaf accordingly on progress in this regard.
