U.S. Bank ATMs Accepting Donations Through June 17 for American Red Cross Relief Efforts
U.S. Bank customers have through Monday, June 17 to make donations to the American Red Cross at more than 2,000 U.S. Bank ATMs in 25 states to support victims of the devastating tornadoes that hit Oklahoma and other states last month. The funds will go directly to the Red Cross to help people affected by disasters like the Midwest tornadoes, wildfires or other crises across the country.
In addition, the U.S. Bank Foundation will match donations made by its employees to the Red Cross through the company’s matching gift fund, doubling the impact of their donations.
U.S. Bank’s credit card division and Elan Financial Services are also working to help last month’s Oklahoma tornado victims. For a period of time, the companies have waived many fees and interest charges on balances, and have suspended minimum payments.
The public can make $10 donations to American Red Cross Disaster Relief by texting REDCROSS to: 90999.
U.S. Bank and the Red Cross last year established a partnership that includes an annual commitment of $250,000 from U.S. Bank that will help the Red Cross prepare for vital disaster services. The partnership also established U.S. Bank Employee Awareness and Preparedness Fairs for the company’s 65,000 employees. U.S. Bank will continue to work closely with the Red Cross throughout the year to provide opportunities for employees to donate blood and volunteer time to the charity.
