MARKHAM, ON, June 18, 2013 /CNW/ - Brookfield Johnson Controls is pleased to announce it has been selected by the Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) to provide Property Management Services, Project Delivery Services and Optional Services to the Carling campus and Tunney's Pasture campus within the National Capital Region in Ottawa. This portfolio of over 5 million square feet comprises of 28 buildings supporting a number of Government Ministries. The entire project has the potential to span up to twelve years with an estimated value for the initial four year period of $338 million.
This contract award builds on an existing Brookfield Johnson Controls relationship that has supported PWGSC with the delivery of innovative, responsive and cost-effective services in the Ottawa region for several years. In delivering on the requirements of this new contract Brookfield Johnson Controls will continue to support PWGSC's objectives through mutual cooperation, flexibility, innovation and leading best practices.

Implementation of services at the two campuses will occur in two phases;
- Carling Campus - operational date - August 2013.
- Tunney's Pasture Campus - operational date - April 2014.
