Videotron Will Be Part of the Fun at Just for Laughs

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - June 20, 2013) - For the seventh consecutive year, Videotron is taking to the streets to entertain festival-goers at the Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs Festival. For the event's 31st edition, to be held from July 13 to 28, 2013, Videotron is again an official sponsor and partner. As befits Québec's telecommunications and entertainment leader, Videotron will set up activity stands in the streets of Montréal during the Festival and offer a variety of humorous content, available from any location.

Laughs on Indigo and illico

In addition to enjoying the offerings at the site, from July 14 to 22 fans of humour will be able to watch the Galas Vidéotron Juste pour rire starring Éric Salvail, Philippe Bond, Jean-François Mercier, Laurent Paquin, Emmanuel Bilodeau, Mike Ward and Stéphan Bureau (tribute to Jean-Marc Parent), as well as the Jean-Marc Parent event, live on Indigo in the comfort of their homes. The shows will also be available on illico TV, illico.tv, illico.tv for Android tablets and illico mobile starting the day after the original broadcast. Starting July 4, other droll shorts and events, such as Juste pour rire en direct and the ever-popular Défilé des jumeaux, will be available on the same platforms.

Videotron to the rescue

To help offer the best possible entertainment experience, Videotron will install mobile phone charging stations at the Festival site. Festival-goers will be able to recharge any type of mobile device (Android, BlackBerry, etc.) and access free Wi-Fi at the stations.

Festival-goers will be able to get full Festival information from the Videotron mobile team roaming the site and at the three Videotron info stands scattered around the site, which have been revamped to deliver the best possible experience. Visitors will never be far from a Videotron info stand to help them make sure they do not miss anything at the 31st Juste pour rire / Just for Laughs Festival. Tablets and mobile handsets will also be made available at the site so that comedy buffs can access Just for Laughs content on illico.tv and illico mobile over Videotron's powerful 4G network.
