Donations to help flood victims accepted at Real Canadian Superstore®, Extra Foods®, Your Independent Grocer®, Shop Easy® and nofrills® locations in Alberta

CALGARY, June 21, 2013 /CNW/ - (TSX: L) - Real Canadian Superstore^®, Extra Foods^®, Your Independent Grocer^®,nofrills^® and Shop Easy^® banner stores across Alberta have extended their in-store giving campaigns - Give a Little, Help a Lot™ and SMILE in support of flood relief efforts led by Alberta Red Cross, Calgary Food Bank and the Salvation Army High River. Loblaw Companies will also contribute products to these organizations.

Loblaw banner stores in Calgary have been turned into information hubs to help colleagues and customers. The store operations team in Alberta has redirected the President's Choice^® EAT FLEET food trucks to Calgary and is working with local relief organizations to determine where to help.
