RBC Royal Bank announced today that the following 14 branches will
remain closed on Saturday, June 22: Canmore, High River, Deer Valley,
Turner Valley, Riverbend, Medicine Hat Main, Rideau, 8th and 7th, Bow Valley Square, Calgary Main, Brittania, Hillhurst, Keynote and
SunLife. The RBC Direct Investing Calgary Investor Centre is closed
until further notice.
"We are deeply saddened by the devastation in Calgary and much of the
province. Our thoughts are with the residents, friends and families who
were impacted by this tragedy," said Bruce MacKenzie, regional
president, Alberta and Territories, RBC. "The well being of our
employees and clients is our top priority."
RBC has made a $125,000 donation to the Red Cross to help assist
families affected in Calgary. The bank is also collecting donations at
all RBC locations across Canada and channelling the funds to the
Canadian Red Cross to support its efforts to assist the flood victims.
