Wells Fargo Contributes $50,000 to Aid Calgary Relief Efforts

Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) announced today that it is donating $50,000 to the American Red Cross to assist the individuals and families devastated by the recent flooding in Calgary.

“Our thoughts are with the individuals, families, and team members affected by the recent flooding. We hope this donation will assist with the relief efforts in Calgary and Southern Alberta, as communities continue to assess the damage and begin the healing and rebuilding process,” stated Rick Valade, Wells Fargo’s country manager for Canada based in Toronto.

The American Red Cross has sent disaster relief teams, and continues to send donations raised to support the Canadian Red Cross and their relief efforts. The Canadian Red Cross is responding on multiple fronts to support individuals and families, as well as municipalities and communities affected by the flooding in Alberta. It also will continue to work closely with officials to ensure that the basic needs of evacuees are being met.

Wells Fargo’s Calgary-based Energy Group including David Foltz, head of the upstream oil and gas team, and Perry Englot, head of the energy services and equipment team, stated the devastation caused by the recent flooding has impacted the lives of many individuals and families in the city and surrounding areas. “As we recover from this and rebuild together, Wells Fargo will do what it can to support those efforts,” said Englot.
