First Resource Bank Receives Approval For Exton Branch Land Development Plan

EXTON, Pa., June 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Uwchlan Township Board of Supervisors has approved the First Resource Bank (OTC Bulletin Board: FRSB) land development plan for 800 North Pottstown Pike in Exton, Pa. This property is the site of a former bank building, which will be extensively remodeled and expanded to create a First Resource Bank branch. Upon completion, the current branch in Exton will be relocated to the new building. Work in clearing the property has already begun with the goal of completing construction and opening in early 2014.

According to First Resource Bank President and CEO Glenn Marshall, "The relocation of our Exton branch to this beautifully redesigned facility will continue to support the needs of our expanding retail customer base." Marshall attributes First Resource's growth to the Bank's focus on friendly, highly personal service, expertise with small and mid-size business financial services, flexible banking options and a commitment to surrounding neighborhoods and communities.  "We are a local, community bank in the truest sense of the word," he notes.  "Our customers are our friends and neighbors and we feel a responsibility to make our communities better. It's an approach that's very genuine and it's created success for us."

At 3,500 square feet, the new branch will be more than triple the size of the current Exton branch. The building will include two drive-up teller windows, a drive-up ATM and a night drop box. While close in proximity to the current Exton branch, the new location provides greater accessibility from Rt. 100 and is conveniently located next to the Exton Super Wawa.

The relocation of the First Resource Bank Exton branch coincides with the recent announcement that the Bank will also establish a new branch in West Chester, with an expected opening of September, 2014. The expansion represents positive progress in the implementation of First Resource Bank's strategic plan for growth in the Chester County area. "We're expanding our footprint in central Chester County in response to the increase in our customer base," notes Marshall. "On both the lending and retail side, in business banking and personal banking, we have seen a steady increase in the number of customers we serve."
