L'Oreal Uruguay needed to modernize its IT environment to provide a secure and cloud-ready infrastructure that would be capable of meeting the company's business growth strategy. IBM PureFlex, with a centralized environment, single point of administration and the flexibility to create new virtual systems provided L'Oreal with the IT backbone needed to expand operations into the cloud and deliver the latest personalized offerings for customers.

"At L'Oreal Uruguay we are focused on providing products and services of the highest quality to our customers," said Fernando Lovera, IT Manager L'Oreal Uruguay. "IBM PureFlex will allow us to improve our levels of availability and continue our growth plans in the country. It adds greater simplicity and flexibility to our IT management, allowing us to reduce energy consumption and total space of our infrastructure, two key elements in the current competitive landscape."

PureFlex combines all of L'Oreal's compute, storage, network, virtualization and management into a single system that is able to anticipate infrastructure needs and optimize resources. This solution also includes integrated patterns of knowledge designed to automate and optimize the deployment and maintenance of their workloads, improving the efficiency of IT systems.

"IBM PureSystems are key to helping our customers to upgrade their existing infrastructure," said, Nicolas Saiz, Sales Specialist IBM Uruguay. "As a result of deploying these expert integrated systems, clients such as L'Oreal are able to run infrastructures that are simple, flexible, open and efficient."

L'Oreal is the latest in a series of PureSystems client successes in key growth markets around the world. In the single year since IBM introduced its first expert integrated systems - the result of $2 billion in R&D and acquisitions over four years – more than 4,000 clients from 90 countries have decided that the IBM PureSystems family offers an alternative to current enterprise computing models, where multiple and disparate systems require significant resources to set up and maintain.
