RBC branches also accepting public donations to Canadian Red Cross
MONTREAL, July 9, 2013 /CNW/ - RBC today announced a $50,000 donation to
the Canadian Red Cross to support relief efforts for those affected by
the explosion and fires that destroyed the city centre of Lac-Mégantic.
"RBC is committed to helping the community of Lac Mégantic recover and
rebuild from this devastating incident," said Martin Thibodeau,
regional president, Québec, RBC Royal Bank. "In the aftermath of this
tragedy and the remarkable scenes of people helping each other, we're
honoured to contribute in helping our neighbours through this
challenging time. We are partnering closely with the Quebec division of
the Red Cross in supporting their readiness initiative that allows them
to be present in the very first moments of such tragedies."
RBC branches are also accepting donations to the Canadian Red Cross.
