The simulator is housed at the Art Koch Range and Training Center in Fairfield, California.
In addition to procuring the VirTra simulator, the Vallejo Police, in partnership with VirTra and the Fairfield Police Department, is hosting a Regional Training Demonstration of their newly installed VirTra equipment. Demonstrations of the V-300 will be held on July 22nd and 23rd between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM PDT and are open to Law Enforcement Agencies as well as Educational Institutions in Northern California.
The Fairfield Police Department and Training Division commented, "The Fairfield Police Department has always been serious about officer training. With the addition of the VirTra 300-degree Force-Option Simulator to our training facility, we are best positioned to maintain the high level of training our officers expect and our citizens deserve."
Lt. John Whitney with the Vallejo Police Department offered, "The addition of the V-300 from VirTra will assure our department takes use of force training to a whole new level."
The sale includes the delivery of VirTra's multi-screen firearms training simulator, the V-300, which uses high-resolution seamless video across multiple screens to better simulate the real 360-degree world. The order also includes VirTra's patented Threat-Fire return fire devices which safely simulate hostile forces firing upon the trainees and greatly enhances the stress and effectiveness of the simulation training. Also ordered are other accessories, including gas-powered tetherless recoil kits that require no live ammunition but still provide powerful recoil during simulation training exercises.
Aaron DeCorte VirTra's Vice President of Sales stated, "We are honored to be selected by the Vallejo Police Department to meet their use of force simulation training needs. As more California agencies acquire VirTra simulators, we are confident that citizens are going to benefit as much as Law Enforcement agencies. The immersive and intense nature of our simulators and content will ensure that the officers have the most realistic and challenging training available today. The willingness of the Fairfield Police Department to host a Regional Training Demonstration of the newly installed V-300 gives other agencies the opportunity to experience and evaluate the training value of VirTra simulators firsthand."
