SHANGHAI, July 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. ("JinkoSolar" or the "Company") (NYSE: JKS), a leading global PV solar power product manufacturer, today announced that it has supplied 304kW of high-efficient solar PV modules to one of the largest roof-mounted PV Solar plants in South Africa.
Located in Johannesburg, South Africa, the project was developed by Soventix GmbH, a German company that has been globally active in the development, construction and operation of solar power plants since 2010.
The project involving the provision of over 1,200 high-efficient photovoltaic JinkoSolar modules will produce approximately 443,840 kWh of electricity per year and save emission by nearly 72 tons of CO2 annually.
"We are very happy to build a strong partnership with Soventix GmbH to supply and construct this paradigmatic roof-mounted PV plant in South Africa," said Mr. Arturo Herrero, Chief Marketing Officer of JinkoSolar. "South Africa is one of our key markets where we have already achieved around 300 MW in contracts with our partners for the 1st and 2nd rounds of the public tenders and we expect to strengthen our position from current and future opportunities in the coming 3rd round of public tenders."
"We are happy to notice that not only could our clients enjoy the reduction of their electricity bills, but they also benefit from the diminishing of carbon taxes," said Mr. Rowan Jacklin, Soventix GmbH's Regional Manager. "Soventix has vast experience in providing our clients with high-standard PV projects, and our cooperation with JinkoSolar will undoubtedly enhance our competitiveness."
