Executives From Leading Silicon Valley Companies Discuss How the Newest Generation of Employees Will Impact the Future of the Workplace and How Companies Need to Evolve

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 12, 2013) - Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) -- The way people work is undergoing a dramatic shift, driven in part by the single biggest demographic change in the workforce to date. Gen Y is expected to make up 75 percent of employees by 2025, creating an employee base that spans four distinct generations. With such a varied workforce, how must companies adapt their leadership, their culture and technology to keep their employees productive and happy?

On Tuesday, July 16, Cisco will join Google and Twitter to discuss how companies need to prepare for the changing way of working, in a Commonwealth Club panel called "How to Attract Tomorrow's Talent and Prepare for the Future Workforce." How will the "app generation" change today's cubicle environment where the main communication tools are phone and email? How can companies build a culture that today's top talent wants to work in?

Doug MacMillan from Bloomberg Businessweek will moderate the panel, hosted by INFORUM at the Commonwealth Club, and will add insights from his experience writing about the evolving nature of the technology industry and implications for the broader workforce.

WHO:
Cisco: Rowan Trollope, Senior Vice President/ General Manager, Collaboration Technology Group
Google: Todd Carlisle, Director of Staffing
Twitter: Melissa Daimler, Head of Organizational Effectiveness and Learning

Tuesday, July 16, 2013, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Pacific Time
