Respected Ph.D. in Analog Engineering takes on Expanded Role as Company Accelerates Product Development

PALO ALTO, CALIFORNIA and TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - July 15, 2013) - Spectra7 Microsystems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SEV) ("Spectra7" or the "Company"), a high performance analog semiconductor company delivering unprecedented speed, resolution and signal fidelity to consumer and wireless infrastructure products, today announced that Dr. Stephen Jantzi has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering for the Company. In addition to responsibility for all aspects of Design Engineering at the Company's four global Design Centers, the expanded role will also include responsibility for worldwide Applications Engineering. Dr. Jantzi succeeds outgoing Vice President of Engineering Lance Greggain who is leaving Spectra7 to pursue other opportunities.

Prior to joining Spectra7, Dr. Jantzi worked at Broadcom Corporation as Principal Scientist and has also worked with Analog Devices, Inc. His work in high performance modulators and data converters has been cited hundreds of times and designs based on his work are now in general use in mobile receivers in HDTV's and mobile handsets. Dr. Jantzi was also Director of Engineering at Fresco Microchip where he played a key role in the development of their TV demodulator chips that rapidly ramped to over 40 million units in shipments.

Dr. Jantzi received his Ph.D. from the highly acclaimed analog and RF Engineering program at the University of Toronto where he worked with renowned experts Kenneth Martin and Adel Sedra. He has authored or co-authored over a dozen IEEE papers and holds 6 U.S. Patents.
