WEX CEO, Michael E. Dubyak, Receives Paul Harris Fellowship Award

WEX Inc. (NYSE: WEX), a leading provider of corporate payment solutions, today announced that its chairman and CEO, Michael E. Dubyak, was awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship Award from the Portland Rotary Club on Friday, July 12.

The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is presented to individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to “service above self” in their community, nation or world. The award was created to fund many of The Foundation’s programs and is given to people who meet the high professional and personal standards set forth by the organizations founder, Paul Harris.

“I am incredibly honored to be recognized by the Portland Rotary Club,” said Dubyak. “This organization has contributed a great deal to our community through their charitable work, community service and by providing scholarships for local students.”

John F. Marr, president of the Portland Rotary Club and senior vice president of claims at MEMIC, presented the award to Dubyak. He said, “When Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary, created the organization a century ago, he did so with business leaders such as Mike Dubyak and WEX in mind. Mike is the epitome of the Rotary “service above self” motto as he constantly finds ways to embrace and enhance our community as he guides WEX to international prominence. Mike is widely recognized within the community for his distinguished citizenship and outreach efforts such as promoting the partnership of business and the school system to develop the skills that will bring Maine to a renewed prominence.”

The Portland Rotary Club was charted on Sept. 1, 1915 and is the world’s 177th Club. The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. The organization was founded in 1905 and has over 1 million members internationally.
