Tutor Perini Corporation (NYSE: TPC), a leading civil and building
construction company, today announced that its subsidiary, Lunda
Construction Company, has been awarded a contract by the Wisconsin
Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to construct the Highway 41
DePere-Suamico Morris Avenue-Memorial Drive and Morris Avenue-Ninth
Street Mainline Project near Green Bay, Wisconsin. The contract is
valued at approximately $130 million.
The project, which is part of WisDOT’s Six Year Highway Improvement
Program, will provide expanded traffic capacity through improved
interchanges and additional lanes and roundabouts. The scope of work
includes the construction of 19 bridges, 22 retaining walls, 7 noise
barriers, and 26 sign structures, including related grading, storm
sewer, pavement, and traffic signal work. Construction is expected to
begin in August 2013 with substantial completion expected in mid-2016.
The contract value is expected to be included as part of the Company’s
reported third-quarter backlog.
