All Books and Textbooks on Rollback Online: Walmart.com is offering savings of at least 40 percent on all books, including textbooks, just in time for the fall semester, saving students an average of $34 per textbook.
Electronics Trade-In Program: Walmart's new online trade-in program "Gadgets to Gift Cards" is one of the only trade-in programs offering instant money for used electronics. Customers can visit www.walmart.com/gadgetstogiftcards for an offer on their used gadgets – like $225 for an iPhone 4S 64GB, $175 for a Samsung Galaxy SIII 16GB, or $250 for an iPad 3 in working condition. If they accept, customers will receive an instant e-card redeemable at any of Walmart's 4,000 stores in the U.S. or online at Walmart.com.
New Online Budget-Planning Tool: The latest @WalmartLabs tool Amazing on a Budget helps college students and parents search for everything they need for college while sticking to their budget. Customers who go to amazing.walmart.com can access checklists prepared with every college essential and set their budget. Then, they can browse the product suggestions to find the products that fit their budget and style.
Additional Savings in Walmart Stores: Walmart customers will always get the lowest price on new electronics with the retailer's ad match policy, which meets the price of any competitor on an identical product at the register.
Walmart has lowered prices on its increased assortment of top electronics brands like Apple, Samsung, Toshiba, HP and Google in-store and online. In-store, students can also receive a bonus $50 Walmart gift card on the purchase of select Microsoft Touch products until Aug. 31. Also available are laptops pre-loaded with Microsoft Office software, which saves students an additional $139.
