Workforce magazine awards Kate Gratto as 2013 'Game Changer'

PRU

Kate Gratto, vice president of Process Management at Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU), was recently named one of Workforce magazine’s 2013 Game Changers.

“What makes Kate successful is her ability to juggle both strategy and tactics,” said Marietta Cozzi, vice president and head of Prudential Staffing. “Kate can see the big picture in any given project and connects the dots with other firm-wide initiatives. At the same time, she thinks through the details needed to follow through on her ideas. Together, these skills lead to successful execution of high-quality deliverables time and time again.”

Since joining Prudential in 2000, Gratto has overseen operations and technology that support hiring across Prudential’s U.S. business and corporate functions. Throughout her tenure, Gratto led a cross-functional project with Prudential Retirement to ensure preparedness and compliance with more than 135 provisions of the Pension Protection Act of 2006. She also helped to manage the transition of New Jersey’s employee deferred compensation plan from the state to the company.

For three years, Workforce magazine has identified well-accomplished human resources professionals under 40 for the Game Changers award. These leaders come from a collection of corporations, startups and nonprofits and are nominated by their colleagues. Winners of this award have proven to be dedicated to the growth and success of the human resources field.

“Kate is a well respected leader at Prudential, and we applaud her for this recognition,” Cozzi said.

Prudential Financial, Inc. (NYSE: PRU), a financial services leader with more than $1 trillion of assets under management as of June 30, 2013, has operations in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
