MONTREAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 19, 2013) - NEVADO RESOURCES CORPORATION (TSX VENTURE:VDO)(FRANKFURT:NSV) ("NEVADO" or the "Corporation") announces, following its last annual and special meeting of shareholders, that effective as of today, Messrs. Rick Bonner and Louis Peloquin resigned from the Board of Directors of the Corporation to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Frère, Chairman of the Corporation, thanked them for their contribution as directors and committee members and wished them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
Messrs. Bonner and Peloquin were appointed to the Board in 2011. The Board has already commenced its search for two new directors to best represent the interests of the Corporation and its shareholders.
Corporate Update
NEVADO is still in the process of looking into a number of ways to treat the La Blache ore, using engineering firms and metallurgists in the Ti02 space, and has been working with various investment banks and consultants to find the best and least expensive means to that goal.
In our search for end users and strategic partners, Michael Curtis, NEVADO's CEO, had numerous meetings with interested parties in Asia in June, and has been pursuing these leads aggressively since.
"With the biggest inferred Ti02 deposit and the largest landholding in the area, we believe that the La Blache project has a promising future, and we will continue to seek out ways to fully exploit this asset. As for the Fermont graphite property, given the very encouraging results from a short winter program, we plan to eventually return to the site to evaluate where we should drill next, and to move aggressively on this project once market conditions improve," said Michael Curtis, President and CEO of NEVADO.
