Yellow Pages Group Extends Partnership with CBC/Radio-Canada Around Local Listings Information

Marketwire

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 20, 2013) - --Yellow Pages Group (YPG), a digital marketing solutions company and CBC/Radio-Canada, Canada's national public broadcaster, have extended an existing collaboration dating to 2010 to provide CBC.ca users with local business listings and information to complement their local CBC.ca experience.

Through the use of YellowAPI, the company's open API allowing developer access to YPG's database of 1.5 million Canadian business listings, CBC has created a geo-localized widget for each of its city pages. This widget allows users to instantly access commonly-searched categories of nearby services such as restaurants and car repairs.

"We have the most current and complete databases on Canadian businesses in the country," said Nicolas Gaudreau, Chief Marketing Officer of Yellow Pages Group. "Through strategic partners such as CBC, we're able to ensure Canadians can access the best local content on their neighbourhood goods and services as well as help drive added visibility to our small business clients who use our network to reach potential customers across a variety of platforms."

"Our partnership with Yellow Pages Group aligns with our strategy to digitally engage Canadians," said Jon de la Mothe, Director Media Innovation & Technology, CBC Revenue Group. "Using YellowAPI we've created an experience that dynamically matches, in real time, local shopping, home service, restaurant and entertainment information for our audiences in a way that better connects them to their neighbourhood."

The widget headlined "Find Out - What's Nearby" is live on all CBC.ca regional sites.
