MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Aug. 22, 2013) - Bombardier Aerospace is proud to announce the 2012 winners of its Bombardier Achieving Supplier Excellence (BASE) recognition program acknowledging suppliers that support Bombardier's strategy of delivering an amazing customer experience through superior performance. These suppliers have distinguished themselves through their high quality and delivery standards in 2012.
The recipients of the third edition of the BASE awards are the following four supplier sites:
- PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA CORP. (Longueuil, Québec, Canada)
- ROCKWELL COLLINS AEROSPACE & ELECTRONICS, INC. (Wilsonville, Oregon, US)
- RTI CLARO INC. (Laval, Québec, Canada)
- THALES CANADA INC. (St-Laurent, Québec, Canada)
For the first time since the inception of the BASE program, the performance of one supplier site, Rockwell Collins Aerospace & Electronics, Inc., has earned the BASE silver level of distinction. It is worth noting that RTI Claro's is mentored by Bombardier Aerospace as part of the Aéro Montréal MACH initiative.
"Bombardier Aerospace's success can only be as strong as the engagement and performance of all its stakeholders - and that includes our suppliers," said Kristopher Pinnow, Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, Bombardier Aerospace. "With the BASE program, we measure our supplier's performance with transparent, real time, fact-based data. These four suppliers have demonstrated an unwavering commitment towards providing an amazing customer experience, and their BASE awards recognizes their efforts."
The BASE recognition program was launched in 2011 and has since then rewarded the performance of 26 supplier sites.
