Tokyo, Aug 28, 2013 - (JCN Newswire) - Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) held an awards ceremony today for the seventh Toyota
Dream Car Art Contest at Mega Web, TMC's vehicle experience facility here in the Odaiba waterfront area.
A total of 30 children and their guardians from 24 countries and regions participated in the awards ceremony, where Gold, Silver, Bronze, Best Finalist, and special awards were presented.
The 30 winning pieces were displayed from July 17 at Mega Web, where visitors voted on them. The piece that received the most votes from visitors received the Mega Web award, which was also presented at the awards ceremony. The piece that won the President Toyoda award (chosen by TMC President Akio Toyoda) was recreated as a 3D model and put on display.
At the end of the ceremony, participants worked together to complete an Infiorata-style* flower carpet using the three Gold award-winning pieces as a motif. The carpet is on display at Mega Web from today through August 29. The 3D model of the
President Toyoda award-winning piece will also be displayed from November 2 until mid-December. Photos and videos of the awards ceremony will be made available on the Toyota global website in mid-September.
