Toyota Announces Organizational Changes

Tokyo, Aug 30, 2013 - (JCN Newswire) - Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) announces organizational changes to take effect on
September 1 as outlined below.

Product Planning Group

The EQ Planning & Development Division and the Value Analysis Development Division will be reorganized into the Product Cost Planning Division.

Product Planning Group
EQ Planning & Development Division
Division not belonging to a group (R&D Area)
Value Analysis Development Division

New

Product Planning Group
Product Cost Planning Division (reorganized)

Purpose:

In order to advance the Toyota New Global Architecture-Toyota's new development framework for building ever-better cars-cost planning-related organizations will be reorganized so that cost planning can be implemented earlier in the vehicle development stage.

After the above changes, the number of TMC divisions will change to 231 from the current 232.
