Fujitsu Highest Placed non-Telco on Intermedium Australian Federal Government Vendors' List

FJTSF, FJTSY

Strong growth in Federal Government contracts and renewal of key accounts places Fujitsu in No. 3 overall position

Tokyo, Sept 4, 2013 - (JCN Newswire) - Fujitsu announces it has achieved the Number 3 position in the Intermedium Top 20 ICT Suppliers to Federal Government Leaderboard from July 2012 to June 2013. The Leaderboard provides a 'real-time' ranking of suppliers by the total value of contracts awarded across each category. The ranking is compiled from data sourced from AusTender and Intermedium's online database, which holds all ICT contracts posted by Australian Federal Government agencies for the last 10 years.

Fujitsu was placed No. 3 overall behind the two large telecommunications companies when ranked on the total dollar value of IT contracts awarded by Federal Government across all IT categories for the period.

The positioning on the Intermedium Leaderboard follows a string of multi-million dollar wins for Fujitsu in Federal Government, including a managed hosting contract with the Agency previously known as the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency (DCCEE), as well as significant contracts with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Department of Defence among others. As well as being placed in third position across all categories, Fujitsu was also placed No. 2 across all IT Services, No. 3 in Managed Services and No. 3 in Systems Integration.

Glen Grant, Group Executive Director Federal Government for Fujitsu Australia Limited, said: "This consistent performance across our areas of expertise confirms that we have been able to demonstrate a sound value proposition for Federal Government and are regarded as a valued supplier in this market. With over 700 people focussed on Federal Government we continue to grow our footprint as a provider of end-to-end services."

"The position on the Leaderboard is significant to us as it means that the total value of contracts awarded to Fujitsu by Federal Government agencies over the period was greater than all ICT suppliers, with the exception of the two large telecommunications companies. We are continually investing in improving our footprint in Federal Government across our key portfolios of Cloud, Managed Services and Enterprise Applications."
