Rogers Evolves Share Everything Plans to Address Growing Demand for Wireless Data and Internet

T.RCI.A

Share Everything is the first complete wireless share plan for all devices, now available to Canadians

Customers seamlessly share data, voice and features across any 10 wireless devices - double the device add-ons of any other consumer plans offered in Canada

TORONTO, Sept. 10, 2013 /CNW/ - Rogers Communications today announced the launch of Share Everything, Canada's first complete wireless share plans that allow individuals, families, friends or small businesses to share wireless data, internet, unlimited nationwide talk and text, call display and voicemail across any 10 wireless devices; supporting twice as many devices when compared to other Canadian carriers. Building on Rogers data sharing plans that have been available since 2009, Share Everything addresses the growth in wireless data and internet consumption among Canadians and the increase in the number of connected devices per Canadian household.

"A surge in data consumption means Canadians are looking for ways to more easily manage and share data with friends and family across different devices," said John Boynton, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Rogers Communications. "We were the first Canadian carrier to offer data sharing and family plans, and today we've evolved them to deliver the most robust plans available from any provider, allowing customers to add twice as many devices and to maximize their potential on the Rogers LTE network, Canada's fastest wireless Internet."

Since Rogers launched the first LTE network in Canada in 2011, wireless data consumption has increased by 80 per cent year over year, a 2013 Rogers study revealed.  By 2017, there will be more than 49 million connected smartphones and tablets in Canada, IDC forecasts show[1]. As wireless devices and network bandwidths get faster and more advanced, consumers are more frequently accessing the internet on the go at enhanced speeds. Rogers leads the market by offering the largest selection of LTE-enabled devices and deploying more 2600 MHz spectrum than any other Canadian carrier to provide customers with the fastest wireless network speeds in the country.

Rogers Share Everything plans allow customers and small businesses to connect up to 10 wireless devices - smartphones, talk and text phones, tablets, the Rocket™ stick, hub and mobile hotspot - to a single plan.  Customers choose the data bucket that suits their needs and share that data across devices for greater flexibility and savings.  Share Everything plans also include unlimited nationwide talk and text, call display and voicemail.

Customers who bring their own device can save up to $20 on their monthly Share Everything plan price or the cost of adding a line to their plan. Wireless Home Phone service can be added to a Share Everything plan in select markets. For more details, visit www.rogers.com/shareeverything.
