New Brunswick and Newfoundland residents can always be connected to
their homes and stay aware and in control of what matters most
MONCTON, NB, Sept. 19, 2013 /CNW/ - Today, Rogers Communications
expanded Rogers Smart Home Monitoring - an innovative, robust home
security and home automation control system - to residents in 28
additional cities and towns across Newfoundland and New Brunswick.
Rogers Smart Home Monitoring allows customers to protect their home and
family at all times with real-time home monitoring and security. The
system also enables customers to automate lights, cameras, thermostats
and appliances remotely through their smartphone, computer or tablet.
Rogers Smart Home Monitoring, the innovative, first of its kind home
monitoring and automation service, was launched in Moncton,
Fredericton, Saint John and St. John's in April 2013. Since then,
customers have continued to benefit from a dual-network, next
generation system that protects and connects their home seamlessly,
while allowing them to personalize system features to meet their needs.
"Newfoundland and New Brunswick are priority regions for Rogers and we
continue to invest in technology solutions that leverage Rogers' proven
networks and communication expertise" said Ken Marshall, Rogers
President for Atlantic Canada. "In fact, our Moncton call centre, the
Centre of Excellence, has been a leader in Rogers Smart Home Monitoring

and expertise to all our customers."

Rogers Smart Home Monitoring provides much more than just burglary
protection and offers customers a truly connected home experience. The
system remotely monitors everything together from water leaks, power
outages, carbon monoxide levels, cameras, lighting, appliances and
thermostat temperatures, and allows customers to customize automation
rules to suit their needs. A customer could, for example, receive
alerts on their smartphone letting them know their kids have arrived
home from school, alerting them to a power outage or a detected water
leak that prevents early flooding of the basement, and even let them
come home to a warm house every day by changing the thermostat using
their smartphone.
Customers can remotely control their Smart Home Monitoring system by
smartphone or tablet by using any of the iPhone, iPad, Android
Blackberry or Windows mobile apps.
Residents can book a FREE in-home assessment by calling 1 888 260-9880.
