AECOM wins engineering, construction supervision contract for Haiti power project

MONTREAL, Sept. 24, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - AECOM, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private clients in more than 140 countries around the world, announced that it has been awarded a $CA1.3-million (US$1.25-million) contract by Électricité d'Haïti for the engineering and construction supervision of a 115 kV substation and medium voltage transmission lines.

The project, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), consists of the construction of the 120 MVA Tabarre substation with two 115/12.5 kV transformers and 10 circuits to facilitate electricity distribution. Secondary works are also required at the Nouveau Delmas and Peligre substations.

An AECOM team of energy professionals from the Montreal office works on this project to provide the design review and engineering services as well as support the site supervision team composed of local workers.
