Pioneering Technology Teams with Siemens on Installation of Life & Energy Saving Safe-T-elements for Nashville MDHA
Nashville, TN, September 25, 2013 /FSC/ - Pioneering Technology Corp. (TSX-Venture:PTE; OTC:PTEFF),("Pioneering") announced today the completion of a landmark project for the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency ("MDHA") in Nashville, Tennessee in conjunction with Siemens Industry Inc.'s Building Technologies division ("Siemens"). The project consisted of the installation of 1,255 Safe-T-element (STE) cooking systems for multi-residential housing.
The installation of the innovative STE devices provides residents with the ultimate protection against potentially life-threatening kitchen fires while also providing them with a 25-35% reduction in energy consumption. The savings made from this reduction are expected to eventually offset the cost of the entire energy performance contracting project.
"The STE is a natural facility improvement measure, delivering both energy efficiency and fire prevention", said Pioneering CEO Kevin Callahan. "We were pleased to work with Siemens on this project and be able to provide a safe and sustainable technology to residents."
As with the Nashville project, Pioneering plans to bring Pioneering's Safe-T-element cooking system to other Public Housing Energy Performance Contract projects across the U.S. Pioneering's Safe-T-element cooking system (http://www.pioneeringtech.com/safe-t-element)for electric coiled ranges is a temperature-limiting technology ("TLC") engineered to reduce energy consumption and help prevent stove top cooking fires while maintaining effective/efficient cooking performance. Available pre-installed on new ranges or as an aftermarket product, the STE technology is currently installed on more than 90,000 ranges in multi-residential housing (low income, seniors, college/university and military) throughout the world.
