CIBC's Brenda Clark Named One of Canada's Top "Women in Payments"

TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) today announced that Brenda Clark, Vice President, Payments Innovation and Integration, was honored with a Women in Payments Award at a ceremony held last night at the Arcadian Court in Toronto. The award recognizes the numerous payments innovations Ms. Clark has helped to deliver to CIBC's clients.

The Women in Payments organization supports career excellence for women in the payments industry, and their awards honour women who have demonstrated exceptional vision. The Award for Innovation recognizes a leader who has been instrumental in fostering and promoting innovation of products or services in the payments industry.

In selecting Ms. Clark for the award, the judges noted her passion for innovation, unwavering focus and energy, and her ability to empower others to learn and grow. They also commended her drive for change through her leadership and participation in industry groups, including her role on the board of the Canadian Payments Association, her role as vice chair of the Chip Industry working group, and her involvement on the Canadian Payments Task Force.
